Math PlayThe best way to review the copious amounts of materials students learned throughout the year is to make a game out of it! Designed for the purposes of
engaging review time, students competed in a Mathematics Review Relay with teams of four. Each team had to complete 10 individual sheets testing knowledge over subjects from across the school year including algebra, conversions, graphing, and geometry. With each sheet the students completed they would then draw the corresponding instructed detail on a shared white sheet of paper to eventually completely draw their teacher. It was definitely a calculated risk to let them draw their actual teachers but I gently reminded them that we are still responsible for their grade. Students were fully immersed in the energy of the competition and produced some truly brilliant artistic interpretations of my face. |
